Breaking: US Coalition bombs Syrian Army troops in southern Syria

BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 A.M.) – The U.S. Coalition has bombed the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) positions in southern Syria, tonight, the National Defense Forces (NDF) reported.

According to the report, the U.S. Coalition bombed the Syrian Arab Army’s outpost in the village of Al-Halba, which is 70km away from the historical city of Palmyra (Tadmur).

A Syrian Arab Army commander told Sputnik News Agency tonight that “the combat planes belonging to the coalition led by the United States, attacked the army position in Jabal Ghurab, some 150 kilometers [93 miles] east of Palmyra near the border with Iraq.”

“One serviceman was killed and several others wounded,” he added.

The attack was allegedly carried out when the Syrian Army responded to the U.S. Coalition’s ground forces firing several shots at their troops.

Al-Masdar is awaiting a response from the Syrian military in the area to confirm the reprots.
