Ukraine blocks roads and railroads with Donbass people's republics

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (SNBO) decided to temporarily suspend all transport communications with "uncontrolled territories of Donbass". The head of the National Security and Defense Council Alexander Turchinov announced this at a meeting in the presidential administration.
"Taking into account the seizure of Ukrainian enterprises and escalation of the security situation in the ATO zone, the SNBO decided to suspend the movement of cargo across the contact line," he said.
According to Turchinov, the ban will be in effect "until the implementation of paragraphs 1 and 2 (ceasefire and arms withdrawal) of the Package of Measures on implementation of the Minsk Agreements of February 12, 2015, as well as the return of captured enterprises to Ukrainian jurisdiction, to stop the movement of goods across the contact line."

Turchinov said that Ukraine would block all road and rail routes to the Donbass before 14:00 Moscow time on March 15.
"To fulfill the decision of the National Security and Defense Council until 13:00 (14:00 Moscow time), today all roads and railroads that lead to the contact line will be blocked by the National Police and the National Guard," he said.
Also, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, with the participation of the Security Service of Ukraine, were instructed to immediately stop the movement of goods across the demarcation line by rail and road.
Earlier, speaking at the meeting, President Petro Poroshenko proposed to temporarily stop all transport communication with Donbass.
