Donetsk, May 16 – DAN. DPR intelligence revealed the deployment of tanks and a munitions train to Donbass, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Tuesday.

“According to our intelligence reports, the enemy decreased shelling intensity in order to strengthen its positions and replenish heavy weapons munitions,” Basurin said.

The republic’s intelligence spotted three tanks in Kiev-held Avdeyevka, four tanks in Verkhnetoretskoye village outside Gorlovka and ten tanks in Kalchik village area between Mariupol and Volnovakha.
A freight train with 20 carloads of munitions for mortars, artillery and multiple launch rocket systems arrived in Slavyansk, accrording to Basurin.

DPR military regularly records the strengthening of Kiev’s positions in Donbass with the armaments banned by the Minsk agreements. Heavy artillery, tanks, MLRS and mortars are permanently emplaced at Ukrainian positions delivering strikes at peaceful DPR towns.

Under the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, all hardware should be withdrawn from the Donbass contact line. The issue is constantly raised by the Contact Group working group on security in Minsk. However, Kiev makes no haste to fulfil its commitments. *jk
