LPR celebrates Russian Day [PHOTOS]

Solemn events devoted to the Russian Day have taken place in the cities and districts of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR).

The Russian Day has been celebrated every year since 1992 on June 12 – the day of signing a declaration of the Russian Soviet Federated Socialistic Republic state sovereignty in 1990. The holiday is a day-off and widely celebrated in the Russian Federation.

On the holiday’s eve the activists of the Republic’s youth organizations have held the ‘Russian running’ and ‘Herculean games’ devoted to the Russian Day.

Several hundreds of young Republican residents have run from the capital’s stadium ‘Avangard’ along the capital’s streets of Lugansk City – Oboronnaya and Sovetskaya – holding flags of the Russian Federation and Lugansk People’s Republic and slogans ‘We are the LPR residents, and prouof it!’.

An endpoint of the running was the youth center ‘Kreml’ in the park named after the Young Guards Heroes where ‘the Herculean games’ – the complex of sporting and entertaining events in terms of sport games and tournaments waited for the young activists.

The LPR young people have held a flash-mob near the monument devoted to the Soldiers-liberators.
