Kremlin says any provocations postpone Donbass settlement

Any actions inciting tension on the contact line in Donbass will alienate the settlement of the situation, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday concerning the possible supply of weapons to the Ukrainian military by the US.
"We have said on many occasions that any steps that would whip up tension at the disengagement line and generally provoke an already uneasy situation will only further distance us from settling this intra-Ukrainian issue," Peskov told journalists.
In such a way the Russian presidential spokesman responded to a statement by US Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker, who, according to the BBC, said that Washington was considering the possibility of supplying weapons to Kiev for the military operation in Donbass.

Kurt Volker told the BBC that arming Ukrainian government forces could change Moscow's approach. He said he did not think the move would be provocative.
