Ukraine starts bombarding Donbass with flare mines with altered fuse settings

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian fired 72 projectiles and shells at the DPR frontline territories, reported the Vice-Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin.
"In the Donetsk direction, the enemy targeted 14 localities with six 122mm artillery projectiles, 39 mortar shells of 120mm calibre and 13 of 82mm calibre," said the Vice-Commander.
“In the Mariupol direction, the enemy fired eight tank rounds and six 120mm mortar shells at five localities' areas and, in addition to that, grenade launchers and small arms were actively applied."
Basurin clarified that the AFU were increasingly practicing the use of 120mm flare mines as incendiary ones.
"The Ukrainian forces apply flare mines with an installed fuse in such a way that the torch starts burning at low altitudes, as a result of which it burns mainly on the ground. As an example we can provide the fact of yesterday's bombardment of Kominternovo, where a residential house burned down," he stressed.
In addition, according to the command, under the AFU fire there came a frontier village of Zaitsevo outside Gorlovka. The enemy units launched fire with grenade launchers and small arms.
Earlier it was reported on 45 ceasefire violations committed by the Ukrainian forces over the past day. A house sustained damage in Kominternovo village of the Novoazovsky district in the DPR south.
