Kiev deploys a dozen anti-tank missile systems on Donetsk axis – DPR intelligence
Ukrainian forces opened fire at DPR frontline areas 1,048 times over the past 24 hours, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Thursday.
“Ukrainian forces shelled DPR territory 1,048 times, using multiple launch rocket systems 20 times, heavy artillery 321 times, tank guns 15 times, mortars 418 times, infantry fighting vehicle cannons 69 times and anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers and small arms 205 times,” Basurin said.
Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district and airport territory came under Ukrainian army fire. DPR intelligence revealed four 152mm howitzers, three 122mm howitzers and ten Stugna-P anti-tank missile systems north and west of the Republic’s capital, in vicinity of Krasnogorovka and Peski village (three kilometres from the contact line). A platoon of Praviy Sector (Right Sector, a far-right Ukrainian nationalist political and paramilitary group of neofascist ideology) gunmen was deployed to Avdeyevka area.
Ukrainian forces also targeted Dokuchayevsk, Zaitsevo, Mikhailovka, Dolomitnoye, Shakhta Gagarina villages in Gorlovka, Zhabichevo, Spartak, Krutaya Balka and Vasilyevka villages outside Yasinovataya and Kominternovo, Oktyabr, Leninskoye, Sakhanka and Zaichenko villages in southern Novoazovskiy district.
Earlier, a DPR Operations Command source said Ukraine forces fired almost 600 rocket projectiles and tank gun, artillery and mortar rounds at ten DPR frontline areas overnight.*jk
