Arriving in DPR from Ukrainian side, veterans cannot hold back tears of joy

Three
veterans of the Great Patriotic War, living in cities currently
controlled by Ukraine, despite their advanced age, difficulties and the
threat of repression, personally came to the DPR to receive the
assistance that the People's Republics pay to the war veterans within
the framework of the humanitarian programme for the reunification of the
Donbass people.
This was states by the acting Minister of Labour and Social Policy of the DPR Larisa Tolstykina at a conference in Donetsk.
"Three veterans came by themselves. They are very old people. With military awards, with tears in their eyes, with words of great gratitude that they are remembered that they have not been forgotten.
You know, they were more happy not with the payments, but with our attitude towards the veterans.
That attitude, which the veterans receive on that side, is just utterly depressing.
They are very grateful that they are remembered that the feat of the Great Patriotic War is honoured here, and they are not forgotten," Tolstykina said.
According to her, as of today, 11 veterans have
received assistance from the DPR under the humanitarian programme -
these are the three front-line soldiers who came to the republic, as
well as eight other heroes whose relatives were paid.
